Trixie got in the pool all by herself without my help. She is definitely NOT afraid of water! Good thing!

This is Spring???

Somehow this just doesn't look like spring to me! We got sleet and freezing rain all night. Now it is snowing. Power has been flickering for the past hour. It may be out soon. At least it looks like it will be out of here later today.

MEET THE NEW PUP

She was born in Wichita January 10, 2009 to Capone and Jezebel. She is ALL Jack Russell! Sweet as can be and full of energy. Today is her first day in her new home. They named her Trixie. We have not decided if that is the name she will keep or not, but it is a cute one! I can already tell she is a very social pup. Hates to be left alone! Could be a long first night! I hope we can get some sleep! She seems most content to sleep on my shoulder or on my lap. That is fine except she is not house broke yet so we will have to be careful. The kennel may have to go on the bed with me if she continues to cry in it. We'll see how that goes. I know dad wouldn't hear it but I certainly would! At this moment she is napping on my shoulder while I am typing. Here are some pics of her first night at her new home. Tomorrow she gets to meet her new Vet! I bet she'll be happy about that!

Ready for Spring!

Winter was not so bad here compared to the rest of the country! Aside from the fact we need rain we had pretty nice weather most of the winter. I am ready for spring and flowers and garden goodies again! I need to get the tiller out and get it tuned up and see if it will run. And maybe we will get one more pool season in this summer!

Super Bowl Sunday!

Wow, hard to believe it is February already! Guess I spent 2 weeks of January recouperating, but I am doing better! I am starting to walk on my own again finally. Seems like that took forever! But it is nice to be getting back to somewhat normal. Today is Hillary's baby shower. Sherry and I are going to that this afternoon. It will be fun! Then some Super Bowl snacks and watch part of the game, then probably head back home and watch the rest of it here. Sherry will be spending the night tonight then heading back in the morning. It's always nice to have her home again! I love getting to see Marley too! Here is a photo of him I just took today.
